Permanent Makeup is great way to have natural looking eyebrows all day, everyday. This is a semi-permanent technique where pigment is implanted into the skin using a manual tool or PMU machine uniquely designed for creating any desired eyebrow goals.
Am I A Good Candidate For Permanent Makeup ?
If you have any of the following conditions, this treatment may NOT be best for you:
~ Pregnant or nursing
~ Diabetic (will require doctor’s permission)
~ Currently using Accutane (must be completely stopped for 1 year before you can have microblading done)
~ Serious diseases such as autoimmune disorders, cancer, or epilepsy
~ If you have had an organ transplant
~ You suffer from any sever skin conditions
~ Have had any facial scrubs, chemical peels, or have a sunburn 2 weeks prior
~ Had cosmetic injectables (Botulinum Toxin) within 3-4 weeks prior to your appointment
Does Permanent Makeup Hurt ?
There is minimal discomfort, however, each individual will have their own unique experience. It is often compared to waxing or tweezing.
There is a local anaesthetic applied to the brow area during the treatment to make it more comfortable.
How Long Does The Process Take ?
This depends which type of eyebrow treatment you choose. (Microblading, Ombré, Ombré Microblading). Generally the appointments can last from 2-3 hours.
How Long Does The Results Last ?
Results can last from 1-3 years and differs for each individual.
Oily skin types will likely have to do refresh sessions more frequently (Ombré technique is best for these skin types as it will last longer).
It is recommended to do a perfecting session, although it is not mandatory. This should be done not earlier than 4 weeks and not later than 8 weeks after the initial appointment. This will perfect any patchiness, fading, or colour loss that may have occurred during the healing process or go a darker shade if you choose.
How Long Does It Take To Heal & Downtime ?
There is no downtime to this treatment and you can return to regular activities immediately after. It takes approximately 7-14 days for the brows to heal and about 1 month for the colour to set in. In the following days, your brows will be dark and there may be some slight scabbing. You will experience your brows becoming very light to almost gone about 2 weeks after your appointment, this is normal and the true colour will be revealed once healed. The colour will fade 30%-40% lighter and will be refreshed at your perfecting session.
